Photo Session F.A.Q.![]() ☆ A: My style is primarily photojournalistic, so I'd like to spend some of the time just getting you/the subject relaxed and enjoying the time without my interfering (much) with poses or suggestions. Aside from that, we can have some fun with various poses. If there are any signs or "props" you'd like to bring along, we would definitely incorporate those. Feel free to bring a blank sign as I can add whatever text you'd like afterward. Other types of props that you might want to consider: a (picnic) blanket, umbrella, hats, wine glasses, toy guns, bubbles, sports gear... An hour or two would be enough time, and mid-morning (8-11am) or later afternoon (4:30-7:45pm-ish) would be ideal, lighting-wise, though anywhere in between would work for me as well. You pick the location and I will meet you there! Want photos at the beach, a park, a garden, a playground, a restaurant, a favorite spot of yours? I'm in Thousand Oaks, but will travel wherever you'd like (up to 45 miles away), even 2 separate locations. If you're in the Santa Barbara or Orange County area, most everything aforementioned still applies, but there will be an extra $20 travel fee. After the session, I will edit any photos that need it (any black & white, sepia or other conversions will also include their color counterpart) and drop off or mail the disc of images to you within a couple of days. You can expect at least 30-40 photos, potentially more. ![]()
☆ A: I would suggest choosing colors that you feel complement you well and I would NOT suggest matching outfits (unless you're going for that look) if you're on the shoot with someone else. Wear what makes you comfortable and keep your location choice in mind. As a general "rule", deep reds, blues, greens, purples and oranges ("jewel tones") look great on just about anyone. :)
Also see my blog post about What To Wear. ![]()
☆ A: Please see my Rates page for my rates. If you do not see anything that fits within your budget, please contact me with a description of what you're looking for (time needed, type of photo session, location, etc.) and we can find a price that works! :)

☆ A. Yes, absolutely! With any disc of high-resolution JPEGs comes the rights to print the images for personal and non-commercial use. I do retain the copyright to all images I take, however, as well as the right to use them for commercial and promotional use. If you'd like to share the photos I give you with websites, blogs, magazines, etc., please either use only watermarked photos (as can be found on my website's galleries) and/or be sure that I receive printed credit for my work in that publication.
